Classic bharathanatiyam

  Originating from Tamil Nadu, Bharatanatyam dance style is an ancient and oldest classical dance form in India. Earlier its name was Sadhir Attam. Bharatanatyam is a temple dance and it tells stories from various Hindu scriptures. 

Kathakkali dance

  Kathakali, a classical dance form from Kerala, India, is written in Manipravalam, a mixture of Sanskrit and Malayalam. The literature is based on Hindu epics like the Mahabharata, Bhagavata Purana, and Ramayana, and often includes secular themes. For example, the stories Kalyana Sougandhikam, Duryodhana Vadham, and Nalacharitham are from the Mahabharata and are used in Kathakali performances.
